Adam Black an accomplished guitarist, singer and songwriter with wide experience as a soloist, performing in duets and bands in clubs, private functions, weddings and as a session musician. A highly versatile performer, Adam plays across funk, soul, jazz and blues in addition to a large repertoire of covers from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and Now always popular at functions.
Formally trained and constantly improving his skills Adam has a Bachelor of Music and is currently completing a Masters of Music in Jazz Performance at Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Adam has played on many recordings for local musicians and is a strong sight-reader as a session player. He is also an accomplished guitar tutor and teacher of children and adults with a passion for music.
Adam has showcased his own original compositions in some well known venues such as Lizotte’s in Australia, The Troubadour in London, and a variety of boutique bars and clubs. He has also supported acts in large concerts such as Glen Shorrock from the Little River Band and Ian Moss to name a few.
With two original recordings already released, an EP ‘Feelings and first album ‘Introducing’. Adams music is vast and varied, and draws inspiration from all corners of his life.
Adam has a strong social conscience and commitment to the community; he sees life positively with hope through half full eyes no matter what the turmoil or issue.
